(Re)Creating Identity for an Evolved You
Identity is one of the primary ways that we come to know ourselves and is often used to share ourselves with the world around us. We use identity to also connect with others in a myriad of ways.
Of all the many benefits having one or more identities offers us, there's another side to identity that can hold us back as we strive to change our behaviors, shift our realities, alter our beliefs, and much more.
Identities tend to be more than just how we share ourselves or relate to others. They can also be rooted in beliefs that carry expectations and other attachments we may not be aware of.
These attachments may actively influence our sense of self, self-worth, and self-value.
This can create a negative relationship between how we identify, how we maintain identity(s), and how we treat ourselves as a result.
These relationships can influence how you behave, speak, think, relate, show up, believe, and so much more!
And we often do this unconsciously. How crazy is that?!
So, this course aims to help you reflect on the many identities you may have, to discover:
- Who you know yourself to be (how you identify)
- What beliefs, thoughts, or feelings are attached to how you identify
- Whether those beliefs are either helping you achieve your goals, live your best life, and be the person you want to be or not
- How you can shift the beliefs attached to your identities to be the best version of yourself
Attaching your self-worth to your identities and all that comes with them can be harmful and self-limiting.
That's the opposite of your deeper and divine truth, being limitless, joyous, and able to achieve all that you set your mind to!
